Overview: Enter Coliving

Enter Coliving was a natural extension of the community and membership work already underway in Barcelona, driven by Nautics Technologies and Dataspark, in collaboration with local ecosystem partners.

After building broader community platforms, a new idea emerged:

What if access itself was the value?

Instead of open webinars or public events, the goal was to create a premium, invite-only club where only a small, carefully selected group of individuals could participate. The focus was not scale, but quality.

The concept was simple but powerful:

  • Premium people only
  • Limited seats (10–12 per event)
  • Interview-based selection
  • Private dinner discussions
  • No public registration

This became the foundation for Barcelona’s first elite, curated discussion club.

Requirements

The requirements of Enter Coliving were intentionally narrow and strict.

Core Requirements

  1. Invite-Only Access
    • No public sign-up
    • No open registration
    • Selection required
  2. Interview-Based Screening
    • Every applicant must be interviewed
    • Interviews conducted manually
    • Only shortlisted candidates invited
  3. Limited Capacity Events
    • 10–12 participants per dinner
    • Small-group, high-quality discussion
  4. Fast Setup
    • No custom platform build
    • Use existing tools intelligently
    • Launch quickly and test concept
  5. Handover-Ready System
    • Process must be transferable
    • Client team must operate it independently

 Challenges

Enter Coliving had conceptual and operational challenges, not technical ones.

1. No Existing Platform

There was:

  • No interview system
  • No premium funnel
  • No event selection workflow
  • No digital infrastructure for curation

Everything had to be designed from scratch.

2. Premium Positioning Risk

When something is labeled “elite,” expectations are high.

A sloppy funnel, poor communication, or open access would:

  • Destroy credibility
  • Attract the wrong audience
  • Turn the club into just another meetup

Precision mattered.

3. Manual Selection at Scale Zero

Automation was intentionally limited.
The challenge was to design a system that supports human judgment, not replaces it.

Solution

We treated this as a selection system, not a marketing funnel.

Step 1: Define the Premium Model

Before tools, we defined rules:

  • Who qualifies
  • Who does not
  • How many seats per event
  • What “premium” actually means

Only after this clarity did we touch technology.

Step 2: Landing Page & Application Funnel

We built a dedicated landing page using GoHighLevel.

The landing page of Enter Coliving:

  • Clearly communicated exclusivity
  • Explained the interview-based selection
  • Filtered out casual applicants
  • Set expectations upfront

This alone eliminated low-quality leads.

Step 3: Interview Booking System

We integrated:

  • Calendar booking links
  • Time-slot control
  • Manual approval workflow

Applicants could request an interview—but not book events directly.

Step 4: Interview Process Execution

Interviews were conducted by:

  • Federico
  • Rana
  • The Nautics team

Interview tools used:

  • Google Meet
  • Zoom

Each interview focused on:

  • Background
  • Intent
  • Alignment with club values
  • Contribution potential

Only shortlisted candidates progressed.

Step 5: Database & Shortlisting

Jimmy provided an initial database of:

  • Students
  • Entrepreneurs
  • Business professionals

From this pool:

  • Applicants were interviewed
  • Candidates were scored informally
  • Final selections were made manually

No algorithm.
No automation bias.
Human judgment only.

Step 6: Private Dinner Events

Shortlisted candidates were invited to:

  • Private, in-person dinner discussions
  • Limited seating (10–12 people)
  • High-trust environment
  • Peer-level conversations

Two successful dinner events were executed under this model.

Step 7: System Handover

Once validated, the entire process was:

  • Documented
  • Simplified
  • Handed over to the Enter coLiving team

They could now:

  • Run interviews
  • Manage bookings
  • Curate future events independently
